Foundation of the Firm
Johann Newton López & Associates was established with the purpose of providing comprehensive legal advice to investors, exporters, importers, and business owners, accompanying them in the development, structuring, and protection of their projects and interests. To this end, it offers legal solutions aimed at facilitating the realization of their initiatives, including the obtention of administrative licenses and permits, the incorporation of commercial companies, the purchase and sale of real estate, tax and customs advice, as well as any other legal management necessary for the proper development of their business activities.
In order to respond to our clients' demands, the firm has formed a team of highly qualified lawyers, selected for their specialization, career path, and experience in both the administrative and litigation fields. This multidisciplinary structure enables us to offer comprehensive legal services, covering the various areas of law that may be necessary for the proper protection and defense of our clients' interests.
The firm was founded by Johann Newton López, practicing lawyer with specialized training in Business Law, Public International Law, Private International Law, and Criminal Law, and PhD in Government and Public Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Throughout his professional career, he has developed outstanding work in both the private sector and the public service of the Dominican Republic. In the latter field, he served as Prosecutor in the National District and in the province of Santiago, participating in investigations of special relevance within both jurisdictions, an experience that has allowed him to acquire extensive knowledge in investigation, litigation, and legal strategy.
His career also extends to the academic field, where he has worked as a professor at various universities in the Dominican Republic. Likewise, he is a member of the Spanish Association of Professors of Public International Law and International Relations (AEPDIRI).
As part of his intellectual and academic work, he is the author of the book The Constitution: A Social Pact, in addition to various articles published in national newspapers and specialized platforms dedicated to the analysis and dissemination of legal thought.
